PAROOKAVILLE catapults itself with fifth edition into the international top league of music festivals – 210,000 visitors over three days celebrating absolutely peacefully in their “City of Dreams” – Live stream reaches more than 7.5 million viewers worldwide. The unbelievable success story of Germany’s largest Electronic Music Festival has a new chapter.
From 19 to 21 July 2019 was PAROOKAVILLE for the fifth time the probably freest, most peaceful and happiest place in the Republic. 210,000 visitors from over 40 countries streamed into the grounds at Weeze Airport on the three festival days, superstars like Armin van Buuren, DJ Snake, Sven Väth, The Chainsmokers and Robin Schulz in the incomparable festival city to experience. After a largely smooth arrival, the following celebrations took place on Thursday the citizens of the campsites the massive pre-party in the Desert Valley and on the PENNY DJ Tower with Laidback Luke, Blasterjaxx and Lost Identity. On Friday afternoon opened the City Gates and cleared the way to the unique city full of freedom and inspiration.
The first, small anniversary inspired citizens and artists alike: the around 200 metres wide Mainstage – designed as an Airship-Shuttlestation with breathtaking 3D stage construction and state-of-the-art lighting design – inspired even the global stars of the scene, such as the headliners Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike: ” We were at the very first edition and at that time there was it’s already mega. But what you can now see on the Mainstage is simply the absolute madness, simply great!” The citizens paid tribute to the lovingly designed festival city with their and pure bliss. At all days the festival was peaceful and without any incidents worth mentioning, such as the police confirmed. Tolerance and freedom embodied in particular also the civil wedding on Friday of André and Tobias in Warsteiner Parooka Church with best man MC Fitti, followed by over 2,000 friendship-Weddings and ten proposals of marriage over the weekend. “We are simply overwhelmed by the past days! PAROOKAVILLE hashas evolved so incredibly in such a short time and the feedback from the Artists, citizens, partners and authorities are simply grandiose. It will take us a few weeks to process all of this,” says Bernd Dicks, co-organizer of the Parookaville GmbH, the joy about the grandiose result.
The rapid growth of the festival generates in all areas impressive numbers. With its largest market in the world (2,400 sqm) and another at Mellow Fields, PENNY has returned the 40,000 camp site guests to the around the clock. Around 30,000 customers per day purchased 40,000 Pizzas, 68 tons of ice cubes and about 13,000 bananas. The fifth edition has also brought another quantum leap in media terms.
